Diploma of Social Care

Jason has completed the Diploma of Social Care through Charles Darwin University, achieving a GPA of 5, with focused study in Cultural Capabilities (IAS201), Perspectives of Indigenous Health (HSC133), and Communication Skills (SWK102)  .

This qualification has strengthened Jason’s understanding of culturally responsive practice, particularly in working with First Nations communities, and reinforced the importance of respectful communication, health equity, and community-informed approaches.

Through this study, Jason has developed deeper insight into social determinants of health, culturally safe engagement, and the practical communication skills required to build trust, promote wellbeing, and support diverse individuals and communities with professionalism and integrity.

As at 27th February 2026 Jason Michael O'Connor has completed the requirements for the award of Diploma of Social Care and is eligible to receive that award.
